We are currently seeking the following positions for our upcoming production of "Blues For An Alabama Sky" running August 26-September 19th.
Stage Manager- Responsibilities include but are not limited to recording of all blocking during the rehearsal process, lighting cues, prop usage, costume changes, and entrances of actors. Copious note taking skills are required. Will be responsible for assisting in scheduling rehearsals and ensuring those times are respected. The Stage Manager must be able to work under pressure, make quick smart decisions and in act in the best interest of the Director and the show. The Stage Manager will act as the Director's right hand.
Technical Director/Scene Designer- Responsibilities include the design, build, and artistry of the set. Will be required to render drawings or a scale model of the set prior to construction. They will also act as master carpenter and be responsible in overseeing construction of set including strike of set. Must be able to work and design within budget.
Costume Designer- Must have the ability to research, design, and make costumes as needed. Ability to research and design true to era is a must. You must be able to work within budget and work well under pressure
Lighting Designer- Responsibilities will include light design for the space, the ability to hang, and act as master electrician as needed. Position must be able to run lighting and sound board as needed.
*All are paid positions, and new graduates from local theatre programs are strongly urged to apply The team must work well within a strict budget, be able to work with a team in a collaborative environment, and meet deadlines as required.
